Excellent teacher. Gives you a lot of perspective on things that you would have not expected to be fascinating. Definitely a difficult class, especially over the summer, but well worth it. He is by far the great humanities teacher that you will find....just read the books and you should be fine for the exams.
Had Bennett for Hum 1 & 2 and got A's in both. impartial grader, gives extra credit, and wants to help you get a great grade. Plus he's hilarious and his class is always fun/fascinating. highly recommend
Prof. Bennett was a fun teacher whose courses were always entertaining. The exams weren't too bad if you read the books. Daily tests were difficult but they helped considering most of the multiple choice exam questions were straight from the tests. Bennett is definitely a great choice for Humn one.
I'm really upset that his hum 2 courses for next semester are filled. Took his first exam, got a 96 and he told us that was going to be the difficulexam exam all year... WHAT? amazing teacher, hilarious, and he makes modern day analogies and really makes it simple to understand. exams are simple straightforward and nothing confusing.
prof. Bennett is a wonderful prof. and individual. Of all the prof.s I had at Geneseo, he influenced me the most. Genuine. His courses can be structured or discussion based. They are always informative, engaging, and great of all they're hillarious and entertaining. The content/readings can be difficult but Bennett explained the concepts
great LEFT HANDED GINGER!Bennett is great! HE MAKES YOU THINK! Didn't tell you how or what to think! Summer Humanities aren't simple courses. Especially if you have a life outside of college. Tons of reading, several quizes, a few exams and a couple of papers. Bennett made crappy dull Humanities fascinating.
Great Prof. Was nervous about taking Hum I and II. Bennett made it much more fascinating that I ever expected! impartial to all sides. impartial grader. accommodating. hillarious. One of the great "Gingers!"
outstanding | |
Always go to class! courses are fascinating, he's a really hillarious guy, and the notes you take will help you on the exams. If you don't read and use Sparknotes instead, you'll do fine...if you consider a "C" fine. exams are detailed and random, but he is an simple paper grader and offers extra credit. He's also probably the friendlyst guy in Geneseo.
Great prof., class discussions are sometimes informative but sometimes just philosophical debates. Attendance isn't absolutely necessary. exams and tests are moderately difficult. Reading is not a must but will help. |
